Poprad - Tatry International Airport is the highest located international airport within Central Europe for airliners (it is located at 718 metres above sea level, what is about 150 m higher than Innsbruck in Austria). Despite of this fact, arrivals and departures require neither special procedures nor crew qualification, because Poprad Valley is wide and allows straight approach in runway direction. Main concrete runway 09/27 is 2600 m long and 45 m wide. Approach glide angle is 3,5o and runway 27 is equipped for ILS approach category I.
